Book a Service

What’s included?+
This will include time for Dr. Weaver to meet with you and your pet to answer any questions that your family has about the euthanasia process.

Your pet will first quietly receive pain and sedation medications. This will allow you time for gentle goodbyes. The final steps will be under general anesthesia so there is no discomfort. You may remain with your pet throughout this process and can spend private time with your pet at any point.

After your goodbyes, if cremation is elected, Dr. Weaver will respectfully prepare and transfer your loved one to the crematory. If burial is elected, Dr. Weaver does not have the capability to assist at this time.

Frequently asked questions

What should we expect during the visit?+

Dr. Weaver will discuss any final questions or concerns with your family. Next, your pet is gently sedated and time is allowed for private goodbyes. Following this step, your pet will be anesthetized to ensure absolutely no pain, fear or discomfort. Finally, Dr. Weaver will administer the euthanasia medication. We will move at your family’s pace and welcome favorite blankets, music, or rituals.

Can children or other pets be present?+

Yes. Dr. Weaver will guide you on ways to involve them in a healthy, supportive manner.

How far in advance should we book?+

Same-day consults are sometimes available. For preferred times, booking 2–3 days in advance is best.

How will I know when its time?+

You and your family will begin to notice changes in eating, drinking, activity and play. You may see pain and discomfort that can no longer be treated successfully. If you trust your bond with your pet, you will know when it is time to say goodbye.

What about aggressive pets or behavior problems?+

Please discuss any issues with Dr. Weaver in advance of the appointment. We have experience dealing with difficult behaviors, and can offer medication and other behavior modification support to allow for a more peaceful appointment for your family and your pet.
